GoodWe hereby issues the following declaration regarding the BYPASS switch located on the side of the EHB Series inverter and previously available GE branded GEH Series inverter.
Updates and Key Points to Note:
All online EHB and GEH units have already been rectified, prior to the formal recall launch.
EHB units can continue to be purchased, installed and commissioned as normal. The rectification is automatic, via a forced firmware upgrade (version ≥ 050531) through the GoodWe SolarGo App in the commissioning process.
For any existing systems that were offline, once they come online, they will be upgraded accordingly via the forced firmware upgrade.
STCs
We can confirm from the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) that all STCs will be processed automatically from 23rd Sep onwards.
The CER will also process STC applications from installed units prior to this date and they will release these STCs asap.
If any installers are still waiting on STC applications, please email the GoodWe sales team.
For any offline systems, please contact our recall partner on 1300 508 449 or support2@goodwerecall.com.au
Awareness and Clarification
GoodWe is aware of the potential misuse of the BYPASS switch in the market. In order to ensure the safe and correct operation of the inverter, GoodWe declares that the BYPASS switch must remain in Normal Mode at all times, except in the event of an inverter fault where the unit has ceased functioning.
The correct Normal Mode position is shown in the reference image below.
Incorrectly placing the switch in the BYPASS position may pose a serious risk of injury to individuals working on the switchboard.

Firmware Upgrade Notice – Effective August 25, 2025
To further reduce the risk of improper use of the BYPASS switch, GoodWe declares that a new firmware update has been released and applied as follows:
Sites Already Installed and Online: GoodWe has remotely upgrade the firmware. No action is required from installers or end users.
Sites Already Installed but Offline: Installers are encouraged to revisit sites to complete the firmware upgrade. A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued to guide this process. Alternatively, GoodWe’s appointed service partner, will carry out onsite visits where required.
New Installations: For all new systems, the firmware update will be delivered automatically via the SolarGo app prior to commissioning. Installers should allow approximately 15 minutes for the upgrade to complete.
